To Live!

I can't believe we are about to enter our ninth year of business!  We are crazy excited!  Each year, we pick a new theme.  That theme is reflected in the shirts we design, songs we choose, and Bible devotions that we have with our students.  Our past year themes were:

1. Creation

3. We Have This Hope
4. Reach
5. The Race
6. For Such a Time as This
7. The Elements
8. Thy Word

And now, our ninth year will be "TO LIVE!"  It comes from Philippians 1:21.  The Scripture reads "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain."  This year is a pivotal year in my personal life.  My oldest child will be a Senior!  Many of you have watched Laney grow up in the studio.  I am so proud of the young woman she has become.  I find myself thinking about what things do I want her to know during her last year of homeschooling - how to manage a bank account, cooking skills, driving skills...  But more than any of that, I want her to know God will guide her.  I want both of my children to put God first in all their decisions.  I want them to know that we are living for more than what you see on this earth, but for our eternal home in Heaven.  

I want them to make the most of their time here!  To really live!  I do my best to be an example to them.  Besides taking time to read my Bible, go to church, and seek God, I try to have experiences!  From riding rollercoasters I'm scared of to swimming with dolphins!  I don't know about you, but I don't want to have any regrets when this life is over.  I want to say "I lived," and I want my children to be able to say the same thing.

I hope this year's theme encourages you to pursue Christ.  I also hope it reminds you to really LIVE your life!
