September Newsletter

GENERAL INFORMATION:

· We are OPEN for Labor Day (Monday, September 7th).

· September invoices have been emailed out. Please check your Spam if you are not seeing it. Late fees will be applied on the 7th.

· Merchandise order forms are due by Thursday, September 3rd! Please see samples of our merchandise at our front desk. If you need another copy of the form, please see our Information Station at the front of our lobby.

· Registration for fall art is CLOSED to give our students ample time to work on their projects. Registration for dance is open until Thursday, September 24th! We have limited spots available. You can check our website or ask our front desk for availability.

· “Watch Weeks” for September are below! Dance rooms will be displayed on our lobby TVs. For art, you will be invited into your student’s class for the last 10 minutes. Please limit the number of family members/friends attending as we have limited space. Here’s the different weeks for each department:

Small Dance Room – September 7th - 10th

Large Dance Room – September 14th - 17th

Art – September 22nd

DANCE NEWS:

· Friendly reminder for dancers to put their names on the INSIDE of their dance shoes. Also, please check that your students have all their shoes and that they fit.

· We will be measuring all of our dancers for costumes the week of September 7th-10th. We will pull them out of class one at a time and take the measurements over their clothes.

· On Saturday, September 19th, we will be hosting a Tap and Ballroom Dance Workshop with Taylor Mathews Russell. Competition students are required to attend (optional for Hip Hop Crew), but it is open to the public. Cost is $45. Ages 5-9 come 10-11:30am with a 10-minute break in between. Ages 10-12 come 12-1:30pm, and ages 13-19 come 1:30-3pm.

ART NEWS:

· Be on the lookout for a paper being sent home this month about the Art Gala.

· Reminder to keep your student’s 5 favorite projects to display for the Art Gala.
