Going Into Year 10!!!

We are making preparations to head into Year 10!!!! 10 years – I estimate close to 800 students have taken classes with us! Sometimes, it feels like it flew by, but in other ways I feel each of those days. When we opened in 2016, my children were seven and five. Now, they are finishing up high school!
All of this has led to our Year 10 theme, “Legacy.” The Scripture we will be using is from Psalm 1:3, “That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither-whatever they do prospers.” This scripture is my hope for our students and for the studio itself. That the morals and Scripture based teachings we have tried to give our students will continue to grow in their souls. We hope they would be like a tree planted by the water and thriving.
Another purpose behind this is that Soar is more than any one person. It has been a blessing watching previous Soar students be trained to be teachers. Miss Hope and Miss Sara were some of our first students. This past year, Miss Laney completed her internship. We are excited that two student assistants who have assisted for years are being promoted to teachers. The first is Lauren Linton. Lauren took art classes for five years with us. She has opened her own art business, Linway Visual Arts. She has spent the last two years assisting classes at Soar, subbing when needed, and hosting one day clinics. We are excited to see her become our art teacher for this summer and next year.
Miss Emily Jones has danced with Soar for the past 8 years. She has been a competition dancer for multiple of those years. She will be teaching one preschool class and one beginner class next year. She is already an assistant that our younger students love!
Raising up teachers from within our studio helps to ensure that they teach with the same values and quality you have come to expect from Soar. This also helps us spread our branches even further. We hope you are a part of year 10 with us and a part of our “Legacy!”
