Changes Coming in 2022!

As we prepare for our summer and fall classes, see what new things are coming!

We have been in overdrive preparing for our summer and for next fall. Our website has been updated to reflect all times and tuition. We are waiting on our brochures to arrive. Here are changes coming for the future:

1.  In art, Mrs. Janine will be leaving Soar. We are so thankful for the care and expertise that she has brought to our art program. Mrs. Jessee will be taking this back on. She was our first art teacher at Soar. We will only have one section of each art class so make sure to get in early.

2.  Mr. Dylan will not be with us after this semester. He will be completing his student teaching for his college degree. We wish him all the best.

3.  You will have four music teachers to choose from. Mr. Sean teaches all levels of piano. Mrs. Jolie teaches voice. Mr. Fidel teaches Levels 1 and 2 of piano. Mrs. Jessee will teach a few guitar lessons in the summer. In the fall, Mrs. Jessee will teach guitar and voice.

4.  Miss Stephanie will be with us in a limited capacity next year. She is working on getting her masters degree in dance. She is currently looking into several programs that she has been accepted into. Miss Stephanie will be brought in to choreograph a few of our competition solos.

5.  Mrs. Ashley, Miss Lauren, Miss Hope, and Miss Sara will be your dance teachers. Miss Hope is being promoted to our assistant competition director also.

6.  Our hip-hop classes have exploded in growth. To keep up with the increase, we are splitting our age groups up more. Hip Hop Bop will be for ages 5-7. Hip Hop 1 is for ages 8-10. Hip Hop 2 is for ages 11-13. Hip Hop 3 is for ages 14 and up.

7.  The majority of things we offer will have the same prices – costumes, music classes, music recital fee… However, due to an increase in our expenses, we had to raise the prices on a few things: Some dance and art classes were raised by $5 to $10 per month. Our registration fee was raised by $5. Our dance recital fee is rising but this is to provide a digital copy of the recital that each student is in. This fee will now be built into the dance recital fee. Our Congratulations Notes will still be a fundraiser to help our dancers with the recital fee. It is still our goal to provide a quality fine arts education at a price that our families can afford.

8.  Our children’s piano curriculum may be changing. This is due to not being able to get the regular curriculum from the publisher. We have a back up plan, but this will be based on availability.

We are looking forward to an incredible 7th season. Be looking for a new blog coming soon that will explain next year’s theme, The Elements!
